Theotokos Athonitissa Wooden Statuette

Wooden statuettes handcrafted by the Athonite monks. Each one has a small stone collected at the top of Holy Mount Athos.

The statuette depicts the Mother of God standing atop Mount Athos. There is an "Άγιον Όρος" (Mount Athos) inscription from both sides of the stone, and a prayer in Church Slavonic carved on the base of the figurine, which translates as "Most Holy Mother of God, save us"
