Jesus Christ the Life-Giver is depicted frontally as the source of life and salvation of humanity. With His right hand He blesses the believers, while with His left He holds a closed Gospel, a symbol of the life-giving Word of God. His face is filled with serenity and omnipotence, while His gaze is steady and resolute. He wears a tunic and a himation in deep purple and vivid blue colors. The icon is adorned with subtle golden details and ornamental motifs.

In His halo appears the inscription "ό Ών" (One Who Is), emphasizing the ontological truth of God’s very being, while the sides of the halo bear the inscription “ΙΣ ΧΣ” — the name of Jesus Christ.
