Handmade bracelets are woven by the monks of Mount Athos. The length of the bracelets is 20 cm; each one consists of wooden grains with images of cross. Small plastic seed beads are placed between them. The bracelet has a wooden cross woven into it, which makes it not just a piece of jewelry, but a Christian symbol of faith. Like all Athos handicrafts, the bracelets are woven by hand with diligence and unceasing prayer. Labor is an integral part of monastic life.
