Theotokos Athonitissa Belt Buckle

Engraved on the buckle, there is an image of of Our Lady Athonitissa. Below, there's an inscription "Άγιον Όρος" (Mount Athos).

The original icon of the Theotokos Athonitissa depicts the Mother of God as the protectress of the Holy Mountain. She is depicted wearing the vestments of an Abbess while standing atop Mount Athos. At her feet can be seen all of the monasteries of the Holy Mountain, while to her left and right several of the countless Saints of Athos are depicted.

The Church celebrates this icon on the 28th of August.
