The great miracle of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Mother of God is an unspeakable event, which reveals the immeasurable mercy of the Triune God. The Lord revealed His mercy by becoming incarnate in a human body and being born as a true and perfect man.

The birth of the Son of God is announced first to those who recognize Him as our Lord ("there is born to you this day a Savior "), but also to the nations ("Magi") that will want to hear the gospel message and be baptized. This is a global event of great importance to world history.
