Jesus Christ | The Vine

The icon is made on a particle board with the use of the most advanced imprinting and production techniques. The background is decorated in a way that gives the impression of glossy gilding.

In the representation of the True Vine, Jesus Christ dominates the center of the composition. He is depicted frontally as the source of life. With both His right and left hands He blesses the believers, while on His knees He holds an open Gospel. Around Him, the vine’s branches extend symmetrically, bearing leaves and fruit, symbolizing communion with Christ and Divine grace. Above His halo there is the Holy Spirit, depicted as a white dove, while even higher there stands the Father, bearded, blessing the world with both his hands raised. On the branches there are depicted the Twelve Apostles, as messengers of the Gospel and living members of the Church.
