A wine of deep red color, with purple highlights on the surface. It has a rich flavor of black fruits and licorice. Traces of blackcurrant are noticeable in the aroma. Wine has a long pleasant and slightly tannic aftertaste. St. Sava's Field wine is aged for 12 months in five-ton French oak barrels, another 12 months in 225-liter oak barrels, and an additional 12 months in bottles.
It takes time to create this exceptional wine. A wine steeped in timeless monastic tradition, handcrafted in limited quantities, with love and devotion by the monks of Hilandar. With grapes grown on vines dating back to the foundation of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar on the sacred mountain of Mount Athos in 1198.
