Christ the Savior of the World
Product Details
An exact replica of the original icon from the Holy Mount Athos. Made on natural wood with the use of traditional materials. Crafted with 22K gold leaves. Reproduction according to the museum print standards.
The icon of Jesus Christ as Savior of the world presents the Lord frontally. He appears as the spiritual figure who offers salvation to humanity. His right hand is raised, blessing the believers, while His left holds a closed Gospel, symbolizing His teaching and the life-giving Word of God. His face is solemn yet gentle. His gaze invites people to believe and repent. In His halo appears the inscription "ό Ών" (One Who Is), emphasizing the ontological truth of God’s very being.
