Carved Wooden Neck Cross

This handmade carved wooden neck cross is crafted from boxwood by the monks of Mount Athos.

The front side of the cross depicts the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, framed with carved ornaments. At the top of it is the depiction of the Holy Mandylion — the image of the Christ "not made by hand", which, according to tradition, was imprinted on a cloth with which He wiped His face.

Inscriptions on the front side: ΙΣ ΧΣ (Jesus Christ), СНЪ БЖIЙ (Son of God), ЦРЬ СЛВЫ (King of Glory)

Inscription on the back of the cross: ΑΓΙΟΝ ΟΡΟΣ

The cross is available with either a simple cord or a beaded one.
