Echinacea is used to treat infections, heal wounds, repair the skin, and stimulate the immune response. It is also used as an antiseptic. Echinacea extract has been proved to be effective as an antiviral agent. It is widely used to treat colds and flu.

Echinacea should not be taken for more than 2 months. It is contraindicated in children under 4 years of age, pregnant and lactating women
